1. Acidophilus (intestinal health)

The extensive research performed in Germany has shown that echinacea increases the number and activity of the white blood cells involved in the immune response. Researchers at the University of Munich discovered echinacea to increase the T-cells in the body by over 30% and a study published in the Journal of Medical Chemistry showed that echinacea inhibited tumor growth in rats. 5. Glucosamine/Chondroitin 900mg (cartilage repair)

Glucosamine has the role of keeping the cartilage fluid and functional, reduces pain, improves joint function and eliminates the enzymes that cause cartilage damage. Chondroitin sulfate is a long-chain sugar molecule that is found in joints and connective tissues. These molecules help attract fluid into the cartilage. This fluid helps to absorb the shock in the joints and assists in moving nutrients to the cartilage. Chondroitin also inhibits the enzymes that destroy cartilage. Several studies have clearly demonstrated that chondroitin helps build new cartilage and after an 8-12 week trial some improvement should definitely be noticed. Dr. Theodosakis recommends 1,000 mg of glucosamine and 800 mg of chondroitin for those weighing under 120 pounds; 1,500 mg of glucosamine and 1,200 mg of chondroitin for those between 120 and 200 pounds; 2,000 mg of glucosamine and 1,600 mg of chondroitin for those over 200 pounds. He suggests dividing the above amounts into 2 - 4 doses.    Proanthocyanidin is a natural, plant-extract bioflavonoid that is considered the most powerful antioxidant known to man. Research has shown that as an antioxidant it is 20 times more powerful than Vitamin C and 50 times more powerful than Vitamin E! Easily absorbed by the body, this water-soluble flavonoid has a unique ability to eliminate damaging free radicals therefore reducing inflammation, rebuilding collagen, repair damaged tissue and restore flexibility to arthritis damaged joints. It is said to improve circulation, strengthen capillaries and the cardiovascular system, improve skin elasticity and smoothness, and reactivate damaged collagen. 7. Guggulipid (triglycerides & cholesterol)

   Guggulipid is derived from the mukul myrrh tree, a small thorny tree 4 to 6 feet tall, that is native to Arabia and India.
